Prolog to HeroismPrologue

Are Heroes born or made?  Some will claim that predestination rules the life of a human, so they will tell you, Heroes are born.  Then, there's the rest of the crowd that will tell you instead, that people make their own lives and that Heroes are made.  I'm inclined to believe both and neither.  When I was much, much, much younger, I knew a boy who, from the time he was born, was groomed to be a great Hero.  However, he did not want to be one, but he became one, because he had to.  Now, who can say this was destiny or necessity?  Well, no one really, but I'll tell you the story of this boy.
